Pianist Bobby Mitchell is a leading soloist who performs on both modern piano and fortepiano. In addition, he is a virtuoso improviser, renowned for his inventive playing.

De Vries | Mitchell creates associative programs in which works from different periods, styles, or genres are brought together and combined in such a way that they form a musical connection. In this way, highly diverse music sounds coherent and collectively tells a single, unified story.

In 2022, they released a CD titled Kraakhelder. This album received a five-star review in NRC and a rating of 9 in Luister Magazine. Additionally, NRC selected the CD as one of the best albums released that year.
